We simply had to share a few photos from one of our favourite Bell Tent weddings from last summer in Penzance. Leonne and Aki are big-time outdoor-lovers, so much so they requested all guests camp at their Cornish wedding venue. We were delighted to set up over 20 Bell Tents at Beare’s Den in Penzance, providing luxury guest accommodation so they could extend celebrations over the a long weekend.
Guests arrived the night before ready to settle ahead of the wedding without having the hassle of pitching their tent. Glampers slept under-the-stars in pure comfort with real beds, cosy bedding, blankets, lanterns and of course USB chargers for all those phone pictures! The next morning everyone was able to get ready in one of our beautiful Pamper Tents, they offer enough room for hair or make-up artists to work, and can double up as a social space for everyone to share the excitement of the day.
The Wedding Venue
Beare’s Den, a truly magical setting – remote, picturesque and wild on the Cornish cliffs near Penzance, West Cornwall. The space itself is rustic campsite, with an events field big enough for a large tipi, which in this case was provided by The Cornish Tent Co. Perfect for post-dancing-late night gatherings.
The Honeymoon Tent
Naturally, the Bride and Groom wanted something a little more luxurious for their wedding night. So we were lucky enough to create a gorgeous Honeymoon Bell Tent for the couple to enjoy as husband and wife. Ysella Honeymoon or Bridal Tents are more grand than the rest of our collection. Plenty of space for a double bed frame, with a gorgeous rattan headboard and comfy mattress. That’s right a REAL bed, all fitted with crisp white cotton linens. As if the bed wasn’t enough, the Honeymoon Tent also includes lots of other trimmings to make it seriously dreamy! Adorned with dried flowers, sparkling fairy lights, handwoven afghan rugs, and rattan furnishings.
The Bell Tent Village
We positioned each Bell Tent at the edge the camping field amongst the tropical Cornish palms. The weather was SO amazing and the couple decided to have their ceremony outside, under a stretch tent to provide a little shade. They had a humanist celebrant lead their outdoor ceremony, which was a celebration of the life they have spent together so far. The backdrop and the views were incredible. A couple of our Bell Tents managed to sneak into the professional shots from the day, so we thought we’d share them here.
