So who’s in?

You can rock up with a tent, a caravan, camper van. Or book into one of our Hire Bell Tents, which will save you from having to pack a tent, a TON of preparation AND clean up, so you'll quickly be relaxing!

Beacon Cottage Farm Campsite hosts humans and dogs, sure, but its main residents are a merry assortment of nature. We’ve been camping here since 2012, discovering that the farm is also home to a phenomenal number of rare butterflies, moths, wild rabbits, and even a few couples of Cornish Choughs. All surrounded by munching cows, curious calves, and ancient Cornish stone hedgerows full of wildflowers. It's glorious! The location is unbeatable.

Pitches (see map below)

There are 60 pitches here, which makes the campsite sound large. However, the site is divided into six small landscaped paddocks, making it feel warm and intimate. Two spaces offer spectacular sea and coastal views. The Goose Field is the front field, facing Wheal Coates, dramatic ruins of one of the county's most iconic mining heritage sites. Also, the Meadow, which has an unrivalled view down to St Ives and beyond...

For those who prefer a bit of seclusion, the paddocks nearest to the main farm house are surrounded by beautiful ancient trees and stunning Hydrangea's, offering shelter and tranquillity. Both sea-view and pitches around the farm house offer electric hook-up options (10A), but it's electric is not available at every single pitch. It is advised to check when booking.

For those that prefer shelter, and snoozing on a beautiful garden lawn, the pitches in Katie’s Paddock, the Top Paddock, and either the Orchard, or Lawn are for you! Here the tents glow softly in the moonlight, beneath the canopy of Cornish trees, and beautiful twinkling fairy lights adorn the courtyard. The facilities are conveniently close too, just a short walk away – perfect for those late-night necessities.

The pitches in the Bowlan are a hybrid - both sheltered and with a view, but a little more contained than that the front sea-view pitches. Some of pitches in the Bowlan face towards St Agnes Beacon, a prominent landmark with outstanding views from the top. The Beacon is spectacular most of the spring and summer with colorful explosions of Gorse and Heather,

In the front sea-facing field you'll find a children’s play area, which has the most incredible view. It has a small sandpit, swings and climbing house. All perfectly visible from the surrounding sea-view pitches for easy supervision when cooking, or enjoying a drink.

There are visiting pop-up food trucks on most days and evenings. Including local a pizza from the notorious Cornish Pizza Company. People travel for miles to get their hands on Fiona and Tim's handmade pizzas, each one paying homage to a Cornish mine. Salivate ahead of your stay with their online pizza menu. Also, regular visits from a Coffee van and Fish and Chip van. Handy if you don’t want to cook.
