Where?
Anchor Barrow in Perranporth is a fully licensed wedding venue in a stunning hilltop location, within 16 acres of rolling farmland. It's situated on North Cornish Coast, with local beaches just a couple of minutes drive away, perfect for wedding photographs. With the beautiful sand dunes at Perranporth Beach, and the rocky backdrop of Trevaunance Cove in St Agnes, both within striking distance. There's also the 'iconically Cornish' photo-scene of Wheal Coates Engine House right around the corner. So plenty of options for epic photographs, alongside the stunning Cornish landscape at the venue.
Facilities and capacity
Anchor Barrow is totally laid back, with a completely customisable rustic barn, with the capacity for 100 guests. They grant you access to venue the days either side of the wedding to install decor and set up camp, with exclusive 3 day hire (Friday - Monday). Giving you lots of time to enjoy meaningful moments with friends and family. From welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, and pre-wedding activities to the ceremony, reception, and farewell brunch. Anchor Barrow couples can design a diverse itinerary that reflects their personalities, with the added bonus of overnight accommodation and Cornwall's coastal excursions closeby.
Anchor Barrow offers 2 licensed ceremony spots, which is great if the weather doesn't play ball. The venue offers welcome drinks, plentiful table wine and a menu inclusive of canapés, main courses, buffets, feasts, grazing boards, & bbq’s. Anchor Barrow is also a dog friendly wedding venue. There is ample space for dogs to run free as well as a secure dog paddock and lead-tethering points.
Glamping accommodation
Glamping weddings are becoming increasingly popular because of their laid-back vibe, affordable accommodation options, and the ability to turn one special day into a whole weekend-long extravaganza. If you're looking for a reasonably priced Glamping wedding venue in Cornwall, Anchor Barrow is sure to provide you with everything you need! There's absolutely bags of space for guest Glamping, with 16 beautiful acres for you to utilise as you wish. Our Bell Tents can be hired and pitched to your specific requirements for 2 or 3 nights, accommodating up to 125 guests. Wedding Hire prices start from £80 per person, Glamping in a fully furnished luxury Bell Tent for a long weekend (3 nights). Bell Tents can be set up either on the main camping meadow facing Perranporth, or on the electric pitches, behind the rustic barn. Glamping Bell Tents can be arranged as you wish, together in one big Glamping village (ideal for couples wanting to create that festival feel) or spaced apart for privacy. Each Bell tent is able to sleep 5-persons.
Real wedding at Anchor Barrow
We were privileged enough to be able to help Levi and Tony realise their dream wedding weekend at Anchor Barrow. Providing their Honeymoon Bell Tent and guest Glamping. They enjoyed campfires, games, hog roasts, bbq feasts, and a Silent Disco. All the elements needed for a brilliant festival-feel-celebration!
