FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHERE CAN WE GO GLAMPING?

You can choose virtually any campsite/location within Cornwall where camping is allowed (free delivery within a 15 miles radius of St Agnes) - you can choose one of our stunning recommended campsites. Or for private events, many of our clients use private land which they have access to.  Campsites must be booked & paid by yourself.

In most cases pitches are allocated by the campsite you have booked.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN FIT IN A 5 METRE BELL TENT?

We suggest a maximum of 5 people in our 5 metre Bell Tent. Please let us know your requirements & we can advise on the best options for your family or group. Some like more open-plan living, while others like bunking-up together. If you are camping for a full week, and like more living space, we recommend a Bell Tent with only 4 persons.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME CAMPING?

Your Ysella Bell Holiday Bell Tent will be fully kitted out with everything you need in terms of beds, bedding, cooking equipment (cooking utensils, plates, cups, cutlery etc.), dining table, seating & lighting. For Event Glamping & Sleepovers we provide just the Bell Tent, beds, bedding, lighting & side tables. Extra's can be added, if required.

Bring warm clothes for sleeping, wet weather clothes, food supplies, cooking oil & condiments. Also a washing up bowl, washing up equipment (soap, sponges, tea towels). You may also want to bring a water carrier as we do not provide them. Torches are also useful.

CAN I CAMP FOR JUST TWO NIGHTS?

You are welcome to stay for two nights only, however our minimum booking term for Holiday Glamping is 3 nights (4 nights Jul - Aug) & this rate will apply. This is due to the amount of time, travel & labour involved in constructing & packing down. We offer 2 nights hire for Weddings & Event Glamping (for multiple hire). For Sleepover/Garden Glamping 1 night is allowed with supplement.

HOW MUCH SPACE IS REQUIRED FOR A 5 METRE BELL TENT?

5m Bell Tents require a minimum of 8m x 8m of flat soft/firm ground (a grass pitch). NOT boggy, sandy or rocky.

CAN WE BRING A DOG CAMPING?

Yes, we are dog friendly, but do check with your campsite. Our recommended campsites are dog friendly campsites!

DO I NEED A PITCH WITH ELECTRICITY?

No, we do not provide any electrical appliances with our tent hire, but because we know you'll probably have a few gadgets with you that need charging, we can hire USB power packs or Power Station. All of our Glamping extras can be found here. Some campsites have 240v mains power points available, however you will need to bring your own 240v hook-up lead to plug your own equipment in. You can purchase 240v hook-up leads from any good outdoor equipment supplier, or Halfords from £25. It is not advisable to run household appliances in an outdoor environment. Hook-up leads & anything plugged into them are used at your own risk.

Check-in time is typically from 3pm - you will be given a check-in time when you book.

For holiday Glamping a refundable security deposit of £50 per hire is taken. The security deposit will be held for late departures.

A non-refundable booking deposit of £100 is also taken to secure your booking.

The booking deposit is deducted from fees paid in full, 30 days before pitching your tent. Event booking & security deposits vary depending on the event & number of tents required. Drop us a line for more information.

In the unfortunate occurrence that we have to cancel our hire due to high winds (which are the main concern when erecting the tents on exposed coastal sites) we will offer you a full refund or do our best to change the dates for you. Unlike other holidays or events the weather can affect plans, so it is worth having travel or event insurance to cover any loss you may have for this eventuality.

CONDITIONS

The Hire Charges are based on the assumption that the site is a flat level firm ground with easy access for our OWN motor transport (vans & trailers), and that no drains, cables or other services are buried beneath the surface or otherwise concealed. The Hire Charges do not include any making good or repairing of damage to the site. Should these assumptions be incorrect we reserve the right to additionally charge you for any extra work we agree to provide.

In the absence of a plan showing the position in which the Equipment is to be erected we will erect Equipment where we deem appropriate.

The Hirer should never presume that any other equipment is included in the Hire other than what is stated in the booking confirmation.

The Hirer is required to select a site that is not susceptible to bogginess or has poor drainage. Any flooding caused is the responsibility of the Hirer.

The Hirer must ensure that any obstructions to the site are removed before we arrive. This includes plants, shrubs, trees, vehicles and other materials. We reserve the right to apply a discretionary surcharge if obstructions prevent work from commencing.

The Hirer must consider and is responsible for making suitable arrangements for access by people with disabilities and emergency services.

If the carry point of parking (from our motor transport) to the erection of our tents is found to be greater than 20 metres a surcharge may be applied.

Appropriate provision of parking must be supplied and all parking costs (if any), must be paid for by the Hirer in advance of us arriving on site.
